How Do I Get the Technical Documents From the DVD?
The video's technical documents, including the Data Collection Form, BPI Field Testing Guides, and Technical Resources are stored as pdf's on the DVD. To access them, insert the DVD into your computer. Your computer may automatically start playing the DVD. If this occurrs, close the DVD player application. Next, go to where you can see an icon of your DVD player on your hard drive, and right click the icon and select 'Open' or 'Open Folder'. The 6 pdf files will be visible in that main folder.

How Do I Start an Energy Audit Business?
The first step is to become trained and certified to perform home energy audits. The Building Performance Institute is a national non-profit that certifies and accredits individuals and companies in the home performance industry.
If there is a local Home Performance with ENERGY STAR program in your area, contact them to join their program. They are typically great resources.
Insulation installers, HVAC technicians, home inspectors, solar installers, weatherization contractors, and remodelers often make great energy auditors. Learn more.
